😆 Instead of preference, ask if you could picture yourself as one or the other. I think this all hinges on whether you think you could exist as pragmatically deluded or not towards a goal, like a Christian.
If being happy applies to my being convinced of my unhappiness then perhaps the second option describes being happy or satisfied with perceived unhappiness?
The question makes a distinction between objective happiness and perceived happiness that's difficult for me to define.
