What words would you kinda like to see just vanish from the face of the earth - words that *confuse* discussion as opposed to clarifying it?
For me, "exploitation" would be up there

Like - exploitation is a messy word that mixes together power and fairness and obligation and involuntaryness in a confusing muddled soup that just kinda "sounds bad" but doesn't mean anything specifically

I think "exploitation" has value as a particular kind of relative term, describing the relationship of a particular transaction to the social expectations of the group to which the speaker belongs - something like the inverse of "legitimacy".

They mean what we want them to mean. Nothing more, nothing less.

Like - Manipulation or a lot of abusive terminology. They just invoke a negative correlation when we may manipulate and gaslight people daily without it being bad and even good for them. The concept behind these words deserves so much more nuance, then is given.
