I think people called this "rapey" because they wanted to somehow express that this is wrong, you need to be a decoupler to remember that theft is a separate crime and the survey wasn't about "how upset this scenario makes you".

Interesting. Seems to me that in that case one is essentially stealing sex from someone...and isn't that basically what rape is? Agree that it just doesn't feel as 'rapey' though.
