I just stumbled on my old dogecoin wallet from 2014, which I'd thought was lost forever! There's only like 14k dogecoin in there but still, much excite, many wow!

It’s still very strange to me that people accept largely speculative assets as payment. Out of curiosity, did you see dogecoin as a useful currency, were you speculating it would go up in the future, or do you just see it as a way to capitalize on current interests?

i just liked crypto. i liked the aesthetic, i thought doge was fun, i bought btc cause i supported the ethos behind it. i didn't have any expectation it would balloon to such mainstream levels.
