In a world where institutions ran perfectly I would have answered Strongly Agree. However, I only answered Slightly Agree.

There are two components here: betrayal and help. While both are morally questionable for the justice betrayal, the family one has a loyalty component as a cause, while the other is utter selfishness. So - 1 +1 vs - 1 - 1
