My final estimate is that 3.2% of all in-person sex workers in the United States are sex trafficked. But between inconsistent definitions and shoddy data keeping, it's very hard to have high confidence; I wouldn't be surprised if the real number were somewhere between 1%-8%

I disagree as this only covers independent commercial sex workers. Walk into any massage parlour in any major city and you’ll meet an array of woman - mostly trafficked. Most are there on illegal status. Applies to almost all Asian and Latino places.

Trafficked ratio appears very high in a massage parlours - central to sexual activity (certainly more than 1 in 5 or 20%). Again this is purely anecdotal and my disagreement is just subjective. There’s no way to prove otherwise without getting law enforcement involved.

High sex trafficking rates in massage parlors also seems compatible with my findings? I estimated around 40k total sex trafficked ppl in the US, maybe most of those are in massage parlors. Tons of sex workers aren't in massage parlors though!
