My final estimate is that 3.2% of all in-person sex workers in the United States are sex trafficked. But between inconsistent definitions and shoddy data keeping, it's very hard to have high confidence; I wouldn't be surprised if the real number were somewhere between 1%-8%

I disagree as this only covers independent commercial sex workers. Walk into any massage parlour in any major city and you’ll meet an array of woman - mostly trafficked. Most are there on illegal status. Applies to almost all Asian and Latino places.

I know Chinese women who work in massage parlors . Nobody ‘trafficked ‘them . It’s a myth pushed by law enforcement so they can keep pushing classic prostitution laws but wording it in the papers as “ fighting human trafficking “ meanwhile massage lady just goes to jail 🤷‍♂️
