Disparities in economic success between men and women are far larger once marriage+children enter the picture. Synthetic wombs would remove the high burden of pregnancy, significantly reducing the inequality. vox.com/2018/2/19/1701

I support the research, but it's very far out. If you want to support fertility, there are many other better things. There is also a conflation of economic and social norms that is triggering. Women raising kids isn't just about productivity numbers.

Maybe because looking at pregnancy as a burden is a fucked up mentality. It’s tough, yes. But it’s also a privilege. It’s unique to woman. We literally get to grow our humans inside our bodies.. that is not a burden. It’s a privilege men will never experience
