when i worked at Walmart i forgot to scan my finger into the biometric thing after break, so the computer thought i was late (wasn’t, just forgot to clock back in) and i was fired by a machine one week when i forgot 3x
floor manager couldn’t fix it, computer had made the call

and then at Kroger some time before that, my manager had told me i couldn’t focus and was fired, but walked it back
that was a lot crazier cause it was also the first step toward severe ADHD and aspie diagnoses. ultimately was not fired tho

I got fired because I made the boss look bad. I was without a job for like 5 mins.

No, but it looks like it's going to happen for the firs time soon because of vaccine mandates.

I probably should have been. I made a stupid mistake as a low level tech that fried an expensive piece of machinery in a research lab, but the person I was working directly under pushed for me to stay on. Found out a couple years later just how close I was to being ejected
