The rationality community definitely isn't perfect, but it's really, really good. Rationalists are one of the few groups that are both really smart and actively practice looking past their own ego to find truth. I can't express how much beaming appreciation I have for this.

I used to read lesswrong but felt disappointed by people there who used poor reading comprehension to get to their predetermined conclusion. The censorship around Roko's Basilisk convinced me the leadership wasn't even trying to be rational.
