I would be extremely suspicious of the research, knowing that the history of lots of these tests have been used to justify appalling acts, and that they do not measure inherent genetic traits but particular forms of schooling etc.

Is there a visible difference between these two groups? Has one been historically oppressed? Has there been bogus research on their differences in the past? This is one of those questions that is meaningless without context.

I have no issues with funding research in psychology and other sciences and making it public. The problem is focusing on a specific metric like IQ, which is known to be flawed and not very useful on it's own. Historically it's also been used to justify racism and classism.

In concluding the IQ gap is due to evolution you would have already needed to do extensive research to exclude the environmental, social, and non-genetic biological factors which are wildly more likely explanations

I’m imagining that in this hypothetical world the group of humans that evolved to have a “higher IQ” than other groups also just so happen to be the same group that created the IQ test being used🙃
