I think the movie was pretty okay if you actually want to enjoy it. Don't overthink the climate change stuff. Just watch a silly movie about a comet that's falling into earth. If you do that it's pretty good

I think the best criticism of that movie is simply: it wasn't well written, very funny, or clever. The grander political implications completely lack nuance and really aren't worth interrogating. Good ideas, cast, budget, all held back by a hack director.

you can replace comet with anything.. aliens invading, a new virus, massive landslide cussing a tsunami, melting ice sheets.. and basically this is how America would react .. freeze our other countries, go at it alone, be totally divided and eventually fail.. end credits are gold

I think we actually would come together of a comet was coming towards earth . It’s the vague threats evolution didn’t equip us for . If Covid killed 20 percent of everybody infected we wouldn’t argue about it .

It’s enjoyable if you just watch it as a fun movie without worrying about the director being a bit dumb re his analogies/views of how the world works etc.. (ditto to squid game).

Lol well the review is also is wrong every scientist in the movie was not lying and that “Asian scientist” was not a scientist in the field and had no buisness being in the Position at NASA. Which was part of the over all point that this review totally missed.
