You conflated wealth and income twice in the question. They aren't the same thing at all. Example. A homeless guy is wealthier than a doctor getting out of residency who still has medical school debt.

not really a new thing that the general audience is pretty bad with percentage points and guesstimating stats, especially about the world as a whole. could’ve been a more philosophical thing rather than “do you suck at math? y/n” if you put a concrete number there, like $10M.
