What if its those commonly occurring stimuli that create the belief system?
The belief framework could simply be the way various societies/cultures label these borderline states?

I think this is likely true! it seems real plausible to me that someone had a psychotic episode or something, described it, ppl were like hm sounds like a Real Thing, which was a concrete enough belief to actively generate that experience in others

this is partially why I'm so anti people engaging in "real beliefs" like this; it became real for me as a teen and it was Not Good, fuck those ppl for telling me demons were real

ya part of why I hate the literal magic thing is that it takes the agency away from you. I am happy to experience demons now that I know I am the source of all creation.

my "insane beliefs" here (tho idk if I'd categorize it as belief and theyre said poetically, not accurately) is I am God, I am the source of all creation, death is an illusion, there is nothing beside myself
