I'm seeing people in my circles create personal "date me" pages. This can be a good idea — dating apps are very constraining and thinking outside them is good. But many of them also refer to my own "meet me" page and I think they're missing the point.

My page doesn't describe me or tell you why you should date me. You should only arrive there after something I wrote provided you a lot of value and impressed the fuck out of you. My page is an 𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, not a sales pitch.

fwiw if I saw a blog I liked there would still be important questions for me before wanting to ask out on date, like monog/poly, location, wants kids, are they even open to dates? having quick page to check would be real convenient
