I'm living alone in a new city, and for the first time I feel like I have real access to my own sense of personal risk around covid. Before, in group houses with social activities, I made decisions based on my cluster, on the norms of those around me. But now it's just me! 1/

it's weird and cool. my personal risk assessment now in the face of omicron is "until I get boostered, I'm gonna reduce my event attendance by 80% but still go to things that still seem real fun, and after boostered I'm gonna completely stop caring"
