I unapologetically view people who literally believe the stars/planets can predict unrelated things on earth as uniquely bad at thinking (moreso than many other strange beliefs) But if you don't literally believe this, then astrology seems like it could be really cool. 1/

i think religion is also predictive of being bad at thinking, but much less; as in, my guess would be there's a relatively small diff in thinking skill between the religious and atheist, probably cause the religious are much less likely to self select into it, it's more heritable

(could be wrong here this is just if i had to bet money on a prediction) I'd also bet that the extremely religious, the fanatic kinds, are probably *better* at thinking compared to the more casual users

I think you are both vastly trivializing the effects of the practice, discipline, and community rehearsal of religion. It’s fashionable to be a Sagittarius. It’s devout to be an Orthodox Jew
