*tries to say they don’t need to study astrology to test it* *gives horrible suggestions for testing it showing they don’t know how to truly tackle this* *tries to find similarity between astrology and flat earth theorists when astrology is literally based on earth being round*

Been getting a lot of "how can you criticize astrology if you haven't studied it?" Well, I similarly think flat earth theory is ridiculous without knowing all their complicated arguments. If a theory violates extremely basic scientific knowledge, the details don't matter.

1. 200 astrologers picking between two charts. Two charts minutes apart? Years apart? Tropical? Sidereal? Placidus houses? Whole sign houses? Hellensitic/traditional approach? Incorporating lots? Modern or traditional rulership? And more issues that VASTLY change your testing.

2. “An” astrologer? What kind of astrologer? Vedic? Tropical western? Hellenistic?etc. How much experience? Which prediction style are you testing? Transits? Solar returns? Secondary or Solar Arc Progressions? Zodiacal Releasing? Primary Directions? There are many more styles.

3. Dominant sun/moon sign? What about the chart ruler? What about their timelord activated by profection that has a temporary timeline, they could align with that more at that time? These things are also dominant, and there is more.

How do you that you are capable of creating a list of “concrete things” when you are incredibly unaware of what you are testing? I have barely scratched the surface for topics. Put in time and effort. Do it the right way, not the convenient for you way.

If you won’t take the responsibility for conducting a thorough test seriously, why should astrologers take the measures undertaken for such studies seriously? It’s disappointing. I hope you take the time to actually critically think about the position you are coming from.

I will take the time to read over this. My point is not against the idea of testing itself, but not knowing sufficient knowledge so tests can be done effectively. I hope you take the time to try to understand where I’m coming from above.

I don’t think you understand what I meant. You could have a beautifully crafted test but not know what you are testing and not conduct the test properly.

So I’ve read it, and it’s disappointing. This tries to look at personality traits, personality is a minor part of astrology so this even if it was plausible it wouldn’t extend to all of astrology. The only mention of technique is the use of whole sign houses, that’s not enough
