ive talked about this *at length* in replies to other people in the brigade of people insulting me but to summarize: i don't need to understand the depth of flat earth theory to be like 'hm seems like that theory is worng'

to me, astrology is basically equivalent to flat earth; a ridiculous theory that violates most basic understanding i have about science, and learning the depth and details about what flat earthers think is extremely unlikely to make me think the earth is flat
