i used to feel disgusted by gay people, i believed i felt the presence of god (the male, biblical god), my subjective experience was that of being a sinner. After I lost my faith I realized that most of my profound, 'real' subjective experiences had come from lies.

You are speaking of being indoctrinated, that was not your subjective experience. That was what you were taught to believe about yourself.

it was 100% my subjective experience. I absolutely, personally, experienced the presence of (what i perceived to be) the Lord, and it was powerful and i wept. You can't tell me that didn't happen to me.

I won't tell you that that didn't happen. I've been filled with the holy Ghost and still believe in speaking in tongues even though I'm not a practicing christian. What is indoctrination is the way that you interpreted that and the meaning that was applied to it.
