Ppl who are real into astrology/conspiracies/woo beliefs *really* trigger me, but it's not because of the beliefs themselves, it's what it indicates about the person. To me, it implies a profound lack of curiosity in checking to see if their beliefs are true. 1/

You decided to call all of occult "woo". This is a large part of worldly population. You really didn't think it would rub someone the wrong way to be told that apparently they can't hold relationships or have critical thinking skills?

Heh, it's become an interest of mine. I think there's a route that makes it justifiable through psychoanalytic theory, esp post-linguistic turn. But it's not an easy sell for a lot of people.
