What's an article of clothing/fashion/style you want to wear but don't because it would feel like you're "obviously doing an unusual thing"?

Are scrunchies still considered odd/ out of style? I don’t care at all because I just told my mom I want all the scrunchies for Christmas! I think I haven’t worn one since I was like 7 or 8, but I miss them!

scrunchies are *extremely* in right now; blown-up proportions, really. I have a comically oversized scrunchie that cost me nearly $30 and I hate that it's the best hair tie I own, least tangling and hair pulling/crinkling

Gosh, I had no idea they were in! 🤦🏻♀️ My baby is constantly playing with my hair ties/ elastics, and I decided I just want fun scrunchies to wear that feel nice and don’t pull on my hair weird, just gentle and easy. Good for me, and good for baby to play with too.
