Is it possible that those whom you're attracted to are of higher mating value? Given how sex work drives down a woman's mating value, a compromise towards a lower-ranking male is sometimes the only way to go.

sex work drives down mating value in some contexts, not all. I haven't had issues dating people I'm interested in dating before.
