My date-me experiment round has drawn to a bittersweet close. I feel pretty pessimistic about the idea of finding someone to date who I'm excited about. Any suggestions on how to increase the chances of meeting people I'd romantically like?

There's very low odds most of us will find any random person romantically attractive. That's why dating is such a numbers game for so many people. There's not gonna be a silver bullet here, just live your life in such a way you regularly meet interesting people.

As a coffee shop guy, I can confirm that there are no attractive people in coffee shops.

Since you have some sort of clout, maybe you could host some sort of event/activity series on a regular basis that would attract the kinds of people you are interested in

As someone in the same boat, I've wondered if that's the easier thing to address. There are studies showing no difference in average relationship satisfaction between arranged marriages and "love" marriages. Your ancestors managed to find love in small villages of 30 people.
