I figure it’s worth posting a summary thread about my current thoughts on COVID to refer back to: Like many great blunders in history, we went into this without an exit plan. The landscape has changed such that risk is now individual cost/benefit more than public health. 1/

COVID is not an individual problem. That’s like saying “the swimming pool is already full of pee and there’s nothing we can do about it, so everyone should feel free to just keep peeing in it.” Sure, not with that attitude. Your actions multiply the risk for everyone else.

No, not really. "At this point covid is over when we decide its over" is not a sane statement. We don't get to decide a pandemic into submission.

The premise here isn't bad. His facts, in a vacuum, are pretty clear (he interprets a few things, but others will discuss that). But he doesn't acknowledge the very real COUNTER harm that is occurring. Those who oppose masks and vaccines and scientific methods who ruin the field
