A RANT: Are my polls unscientific? Depends on what you mean - but largely I hear the word 'unscientific' used in place of 'does not have enough sciencey aesthetic' - for example often people say my twitter polls aren't 'scientific' by pointing to some of my joke polls 1/

They're entertaining, but obviously not scientific. That's okay. Stop getting mad when people know enough about the subject to point it out. I figured everybody just takes them with a grain of salt until you complained that people pointed out just that ;)

I *personally* advocate for taking them in context, which is being aware of the potential flaws. Other people dismiss them as no-value at all, they don't say 'grain of salt.'
