It's funny when libs say trump made them anti-democracy because implicit in this is the idea that trump was the result of the democratic process instead of the breakdown of a centuries-old constitutional order whose purpose was to constrain democratic sentiment to begin with

I don't know when it happened, but at some point in the last few years I stopped believing in democracy as an ideal form of governance. It likely was a vital step in social evolution, but now it feels broken and outdated.
