ok i just moved into a new place and im trying to arrange furniture but the living room is incredibly awkward. Here's a thread on my reasoning and Id love advice

I have a big sofa (6ft3in) and a matching phat armchair.
I have big sofa taking up the 6-7 spot, facing inwards. This is good but visually blocks off flow into the lower-section area (the floor is lower down than the rest of the living room)
I could position it 7-8, facing in,

but I'm trying hard not to block the window (which extends down kinda low) and id like to preserve seating which can look outside, as opposed to inside
considering the 11-12-13 area for seating? but my big couch would just baaarely fit, and maybe feel crowded/no side table area

was considering putting sofa diagonal across 11-13, but that'd leave a pretty chunky gap behind the diagonal and idk what to put back there? also unclear where armchair would go nearby. and what id do with the pretty open 9-8-7-6 space. hard to balance!

(also am willing to move my couch/armchair duo to another room and buy furniture specifcially for my living room if theres a good idea for it)

So, to do layouts - esp collaboratively - my favorite thing to do is use miro.com, draw my room, then make my furniture into shapes and place it. Its like me and my parents used to do when moving with paper and tape, but online
Might help you visualize it better

I would sofa in 13-14 and the chair in 11. You can get a sofa table to put behind it to blend in with the dining area. That would leave the corner where the sofa currently for an entertainment area
