also to be more clear I'd actually be surprised if there were literally no correlation between high IQ and more correctly predictive beliefs, I just think people tend to fail to take into account how many other powerful factors go into what a person's beliefs are besides IQ

One factor is also that higher IQ people are better able to believe counter-intuitive things, whether they're plausible or not. Lower IQ things likely have a smaller range of views they're able to believe; whatever the norms say.

Iq correlates to complexity, not correctness So if a certain truth requires a 100iq to understand, then being a high iq is only helpful in the sense that you're not sub-100 Outside of that I wouldn't see any meaningful connection

"IQ", I think may be a small percentage of the brains,"ability to learn" but I think it's mostly pattern-recognition-mental-mastubation nonsense. Being intelligent is actively finding out information. If you don't learn what mushrooms are poisonous,you're likely going to die.
