Having a high IQ doesn't mean you're more right, it means you're more effective at believing whatever you believe. I'd guess that in any society, high IQ will tend to move to elite status (like universities) and will adopt whatever view is currently the elite norm twitter.com/mattyglesias/s

also to be more clear I'd actually be surprised if there were literally no correlation between high IQ and more correctly predictive beliefs, I just think people tend to fail to take into account how many other powerful factors go into what a person's beliefs are besides IQ
