having read all the responses it seems to me that the likeliest answer is going to be something like “a superior post-state/bank paypal”. Exciting. Now my naive question is, how come there hasn’t yet emerged a clear solution? What’s the hassle-free way to send/receive btc/eth etc

how come nobody has sent me a thing the way people sent me zoom links, dropbox referral emails, “what’s your PayPal”, etc? How do I get my mum to use it the way her friends got her to use WhatsApp and Grab (SEA Uber) and so on?

from what I can see... this largely only applies because the US financial system is so bad. and also is still v hypothetical - getting money out of crypto is annoying to do.

if the user experience of transferring crypto be ones smooth and seamless enough, I imagine people won’t even need to get money out of crypto, they could just use crypto as money! unless there’s some technical limit here, which I think I’ve vaguely heard about
