You make plumbing illegal, and a stigma appears against plumbing. Everyone with good options in life avoids plumbing, and soon the only people who plumb come from bad backgrounds with histories of abuse. Stigma filters for the lowest class, no matter what the stigma is of.

1) If it's not a coincidence that the vast majority of sex work is performed by people who have significant history of abuse, we should be clear on who and why a person is engaging in such work. If people already have distorted views on relationships, sex work will only hurt them

I think it's this plus 1-Sex workers with a history of abuse have less to lose reputationally, and are more likely to be open about doing sex work 2-Sexual promiscuity is partly genetic- promiscuous men often leave families increasing daughter's likelihood of abuse (3rd variable)

That's speculation and a bad analogy. Even if you wanna use plumbing, you can't say ALL plumbing. Only specific plumbing performed by people who have no other marketable skills or are forced into plumbing by their primary caregivers against their will. This breaks down fast.
