I'm still a little shocked with how much diversity of sexual orientation, race, and gender is pressed, when for the vast majority of people they'd be happy to accept those things, given the person was from the same *culture.* Culture's the actual dividing thing here.

My parents were super pro people of other races, happily had non-white friends with zero issues... as long as they were all devout Christians.

Sounds very un-christian of them.😆 Though it’s interesting how many peoples actions run counter to their christian/jewish belief/protestations/declarations. Frankly, I wonder if today is how it was when people stopped believing in Roman/Greek gods?

This seems like a very specific case, but to the broader point I think the plurality of cultures isn't as salient a question since hierarchy/power imbalance by culture isn't as ingrained in broader American society anymore (except along racial lines)
