I'm still a little shocked with how much diversity of sexual orientation, race, and gender is pressed, when for the vast majority of people they'd be happy to accept those things, given the person was from the same *culture.* Culture's the actual dividing thing here.

My parents were super pro people of other races, happily had non-white friends with zero issues... as long as they were all devout Christians.

Reminds me a bit of classical & medieval Europe; race was not that big a deal, but language/citizenship/class/religion were important.

Intersectionality is the current theme… as stupid as that is… you and I have more in common than we are different… though the thinking is to focus on the differences and assign value to them.
