i suspect my (and mebbe others?) sense of "romantic butterflies" comes from capturing the attention of a really high SMV mate compared to the previous range of your mate options, even if it doesn't 'feel' like this from the inside.

I genuinely think, and not in a mean way, that Aella is a total weirdo, which sometimes gives her broad insights others could never discover but sometimes makes her experiences not very generalizable, and I think it’s hard for people like that to know which is which.
