i suspect my (and mebbe others?) sense of "romantic butterflies" comes from capturing the attention of a really high SMV mate compared to the previous range of your mate options, even if it doesn't 'feel' like this from the inside.

Not sure how I just managed to “squint” but you’re right and I think it holds up with all the different versions of love
In this model why do lovers give up their life for each other, or willing suffer large status downgrades? I don’t think it works.
