i have a good sense of what would make me happy but the population that falls into that category is pretty tiny

Is wanting them to be of similar social power more a function of you would just be more attracted to them if so, or that if they are lower social status there is higher risk of conflict due to their insecurity about the dynamic?

I'm not sure why I want this. Partly is that significant inequality of power just... feels bad, and I suspect it has impacts in a lot of other places (like yeah, insecurity). I also partly like the idea of having 'earned' the ability to date someone with social power.
