Reminds me of the bone conduction sound lasers that could make ads have directional audio only you can hear that sounds like it's a normal sound

I, too, would like to stop getting ads for cars and other stuff I have absolutely no interest in.

The problem is the stuff they suggest I still do not wish to buy. They need to up their game, if they were really on the ball they would have figured out I wanted a bunch of fancy flavored syrups before I'd heard of them, not after I'd bought 6 bottles of Monin.

The people sending you targeted ads don't have your best interests in mind, they work to turn your insecurities and biases against you.

I've always thought the data-mining, ad-targeting aspect of the tech giant's business startegy to be far less troubling than the political radicalization aspect. Being able to use these wonderful communication engines for free is amazing, but we pay w/ broken political discourse
