I don't think these criticisms apply to me? I am extremely pro-abnormal cultures, and I felt uncomfortable about Leverage early on, despite never trying to join and despite not knowing anybody who told me bad things about it.

It's possible you aren't familiar with some of the bad things that happened in some parts of Leverage? A lot of the bad seems to have been segmented/kept hidden, and I think a lot of ppl legit went through Leverage seeing and feeling only good.
