My dad has an officially tested IQ of 146 and believes evolution is a lie. Being smart often doesn't make you right, it mostly makes you more effective at believing what you believe.

I too have a test-measured IQ of 148, although after the past two years I believe I have approximately 1.8 neurons left, not sure how that affects it Also, Aella, is your dad....also my dad? Sounds exactly the same down to the believing only in micro evolution

IQ scores are more environmentally determined at younger ages and more genetically determined the older you get, as adults.

This is because IQ scores are compared across the people of the same age cohort and at younger ages, environment and parental involvement have a much higher impact on test performance. But as you get older, genes play a larger role.
