Great question. Wonder how answers differ by sex.

Mean, median, or mode? Very important distinction.

How are we defining quality of life?

I've heard self reported happiness took a nosedive in the 70's and women went from previously above to below men Thus, my answer is men for present day

Up until maybe 5ish years ago, absolutely men. Now, I would say still men but women are making more money moves and getting better educations. Once women reach a certain age things get a lot harder though even with better income and education, IMO men still will outpace

I also think this really depends on geographic location in the United States too. Without a doubt where I live men have a higher quality of life… where I used to live I’d say it was more even or a toss up but I would say that’s not the norm for most of the counties population.
