Reminder I have regularly argued that likely most of the bad outcomes in black communities (higher levels of crime and poverty) are downstream to the old drug wars and the destruction to families caused by the high incarceration rates of black men.

The "Red Summer" incident demonstrated black communities would never be allowed to be "prosperous" and the crimes in those days were largely perpetrated by law enforcement and thus was not reported. Comparing crime rates from then to today is apples and oranges. Different worlds.

remarkably well? in 1950s and 60s? how many black people did you know growing up my guess less than a handful.. tell how well they were doing to Emmett Till 1955, 4 girls in Birmingham 1963, congressman John Lewis 1965 Selma. please don't try to speak for black people!!stop!!!
