it's overly simplistic but I'm tryin to get at, when you have a conflict where someone is doing something the other person doesn't like, who tends to be the person doing a thing and who tends to be the person not liking a thing

Insecure men get mad as a way to gain/maintain perceived control. Women get mad when things/actions aren't what they believe they should be. Everyone provokes at some point, intentionally or not.
