Generally, for large effect sizes you should suspect genetics. Shared environment rarely has a large effect on anything, but genetics routinely does. I recommend the book "blueprint" by Robert Plomin for more. Every behavioral trait (yes every) has a strong genetic component.
Apologies in advance if this is already known information, but there is a rapidly growing field of inquiry called "Epigenetics" that deals with secondary encoding of information into our genetic sequence that occurs *during* a lifetime and is hereditary. One such mechanism... 1/2
