So 190 incidents across five years of people being "successfully" targeted from the left and only if you're still including people whose only sanction was an investigation (~20+ from my tallying?) and people who were reinstated (38)... Seems... less than I'd expect?

It was less than I expected, yeah! I still think it's 'bad', like they're only really documenting the extreme which has a chilling effect on everyone, but it's still less than I would have guessed based on the discourse around it.

Interesting! Thanks for posting this; reading it (and the AAUP article it links to: https://tinyurl.com/47xkrurh ) alongside the FIRE article definitely offers a more complex view of the issue.

The report doesn't seem to devote any attention to whether the terminations were justified. I don't know from it whether or not I should be concerned.
