ppl telling me I should get a real job: what subsets of 'people give me money in exchange for things they want me to do' scenarios would you consider to be real, and which ones are fake?

what's considered "a real job" is generally the kinds of work that are either labor or skill intensive, as opposed to jobs where the main work is manipulating (in the neutral sense, not pejorative) cultural symbols or people's feelings

they are depending on where you go, "manager is not a real job" is an extremely common view among normies that was even discussed recently, i think just not in the circles aella et co run on

teachers for unearned authority and managers for unearned high position + salary there's probably jobs with way more unfair pay but a manager is more visible
