Ofc sex workers have more mental illness - sex work is stigmatized, so the people on the outskirts will be the ones who do it. And ofc some will be forced into it, much as they are forced into many other kinds of labor. And ofc theres emotional toll, just like other jobs.

The bar for preventing consenting adults from engaging with each other as they wish is really, really high. You can argue that a lot of people are unhappy or damaged or it destroys souls but these arguments do not clear the EXTREMELY HIGH BAR FOR RESTRICTING HUMAN FREEDOM

I can always tell when a lot of your income is going to taxes or otherwise at risk of being lost - you start posting many philosophical assertions in non-poll form. :p

I would find it interesting if you talked about the effects of men. Most sex worker women are attractive and can date and have normal relationships. Do you think it is warping the power dynamic of relationships?

If people would really care about damaging work, they'd refuse electricity since it requires people to work in coal mines. And anything produced in Asia, cause most businesses produce stuff there only because there is no law about working environment requirements.

I'd say, compare customer service work. One of the highest suicide based careers, almost 80% of people doing our for over a year are on meds for mental health. I don't see a push to deal with customers being assholes
