Okay but maybe the actual real villains are whatever system is eliminating the competition. If anybody provided a solid banking + payment processing system that accepted adult providers, they would make *so much money* - so why can't they do it?

guys the real villains here are the payment processors, the silent shadowy blacklisting cabal that dictates the kind of moral behavior we're allowed to engage in, who, without any sort of oversight, can wipe any company they wish out of existence.

The incentive is there for people to fill in the gaps left by the personal moral decisions of Mastercard and co.; there's a reason why they're not, and this is likely because it's really hard - due to legal issues and regulations.

maybe porn consumer incentives make it difficult to start something new: - getting a credit card just for porn is inconvenient/embarrassing - crypto is intimidating/inconvenient - lots of alternatives to the specific sites (onlyfans, pornhub premium) being shut down

what do you mean "why can't they do it"? high risk payment processing for adult content already exists. that's how legit porn and cam sites operate. but to use them you have to associate your company with adult work (+ pay super high fees), which OF wants nothing to do with.

Who is "anybody" in this scenario. Why can't you band together? Honestly, I might be ignorant here I really truly don't know how hard it is to set up a payment system.
