Do you use the term 'normie' in casual conversation with your friends, when referring to people who are outgroup, overly-normal, not-weird, etc.? e.g., "Do you think normies ask this sort of question?"

Fwiw I found that most people believe themselves to be weirder than most in an informal poll. May suggest most are inclined to see others as normies (and themselves as not being normies).

I ran a poll on Guided Track on this, with 100 participants. 47% said they're weirder than most people, 12% that they're less weird; 41% about the same. @robinhanson

When talking about girls. 'She *is* really nice, but she's basically a normie.' Never derogatory. But when you've had 100+ acid trips, hang out with artists/musicians, sleep weird hours, a normie is like dragging someone in from a grey dimension. Whole load of "What!?"
