School as it currently exists is one of the worst things about civilization. If I had to choose between stopping global warming or ending all school (with decent alternatives) I would probably end all school.
Can you point me to any articles where I can read about this point of view? Or a podcast to listen to? It's pretty alien to me and I want to understand more!
I should probably write something; but basically, I was homeschooled and find a lot about normal school to be absolutely horrifying and everybody else takes it as normal. no it's not normal to socialize with only pps of your own age and have so little spare time
As yall probably know, I was homeschooled from birth to the end of 'high school', and cut off from most secular culture - except for 3 months, when I attended public school at the age of 14, and ran into a lot of public school norms that shocked and confused me (cont).
Okay🤷🏾♂️ I went to private small classes and finished in public high school. 90-days@ the worst part of school social assimilation, one cannot build a thesis.
Just a hint: School is not purely about aquiring knowledge but to socialize and develop yourself within a societal structure.
Most people would suffer from 1 on 1 homeschooling rather than 15 student classes.
What you describe as "waste of time" is what others love about school
